At the November 25, 2023, meeting in Wels, we discussed amendments to the competition regulations. One unresolved issue was Slovenia's proposal to change bonus points in the age-point scoring category.

On January 10, 2024, an email was sent to all commission members outlining competitions from Mulhouse 2013, Villach 2017, and Celje 2022, requesting feedback on the matter.

By June 2024, only Luxembourg, Portugal, Italy, Austria, and Germany had responded, expressing no desire for changes. Consequently, the current regulation remains unchanged.

To incorporate new images into the regulations, outdoor photos were needed, requiring a wait until spring. On February 6, 2024, nine nations were asked to provide images along with usage permissions as requested by the CTIF Secretary-General. After several weeks, the photos were received, allowing Ludwig Laut and me to finalize the publication.

On October 2, 2024, the 2024 edition of the competition regulations was sent to all current commission members. Today, I ask:
“Are there any minor points that need further discussion?”

Next Steps:

  • Approval by the commission today.
  • Translation into English.
  • Approval by the CTIF Executive Committee (EXR).

This will enable us to prepare judge training for the Berlin 2026 competition.

Judges' Training 2025
Judges' training for the fire attack in firefighter competitions must occur in the second half of 2025. Linz, Austria, has previously proven suitable due to its central location and accessibility.

Proposed Schedule:

  • Date: October 24–26, 2025.
  • Plan: Arrival by Friday noon, theory sessions in the afternoon, practical sessions on Saturday, and departures on Saturday evening or Sunday.
  • Participants: Maximum 75, including youth fire brigades.
  • Quota: Same as Celje 2022.
  • Funding: Covered by participation fees for 2026.
(Approval from the CTIF Executive Committee required!)

Deputy International Competition Leaders
For judge training and execution in Berlin, responsible personnel are required:

  • International Competition Leader.
  • Deputy for Youth Fire Brigade Competitions.
  • Deputy for Firefighting Sports.
  • Deputy for Traditional Firefighting Competitions.

In Celje, these roles were combined, which was very time-intensive. A new distribution is proposed:
Proposal: Hubert Silgoner, Italy.
Question: Who will be responsible for Firefighting Sports as Deputy in 2026?

Judges’ Training in Prague
In March, I attended a winter indoor competition organized by the Czech Fire Brigade in Prague. The competition included a fire attack and relay race on a 250m track. Over two days, we observed group performances, judges' work, and reviewed the competition regulations, followed by practical judging exercises. Many thanks to our hosts for their hospitality.

Berlin 2026 Updates:
In May 2024, I had a phone call with the DFV Secretary-General, Mr. Römer. Discussions are ongoing with authorities (Berlin Fire Brigade), Slovenia, and Villach. An official application will be presented at the Delegates’ Assembly in Oslo in June. Initial talks are scheduled for November 2024.

Thank you for your attention. Are there any further questions?
