The CTIF Fire Investigation Working Group held a virtual meeting on January 22, 2025. The meeting
was attended by 17 participants from 12 member countries. During the meeting, the new chairman
of the working group, Timo Kouki, was introduced. However, it was agreed that appointing a vice chairman or a secretary would be highly beneficial.
Jiří Studnička from the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic gave a presentation on the HAWK system. Additionally, the participants discussed the direction of the working group, emphasizing the importance of information exchange, training opportunities, and the development of common standards and methods for fire investigation.
The participants agreed that the next virtual meeting will take place in March or April, with an in-person
meeting scheduled for autumn in the Czech Republic.
