en

On the morning of February 7, 2025, a Beech F90 King Air aircraft crashed into a bus on Marques de São Vicente Avenue in São Paulo, Brazil, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to at least two others.

The aircraft had departed from Campo de Marte airport at 7:15 AM local time, destined for Porto Alegre, but lost contact with the control tower shortly after takeoff.

The crash occurred around 7:20 AM, leading to a significant explosion and a plume of black smoke. Emergency responders discovered two charred bodies inside the plane's fuselage. Among the injured were a bus passenger and a motorcyclist, both of whom were transported to local hospitals. The Brazilian Air Force and local authorities have initiated an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Eyewitnesses reported that the plane struck a tree before colliding with the bus, resulting in a massive fireball. The incident led to significant traffic disruptions in the Barra Funda neighbourhood, with emergency services promptly arriving at the scene to manage the situation. The airspace above the crash site has been temporarily closed as a precautionary measure.
