In 2024, CTIF nominated our own Commission for Extrication & New Technology and their work around the ISO 17840 standardization for vehicles. The nomination is now selected for the final round of the award, which is given by Fire Knowledge Magazine in the UK.
The application was sent by our senior project advisor Dennis Davis, and in late March, the magazine wrote that they were delighted to let us know that our nomination CTIF Commission for Extrication and New Technology for the Innovator of the Year Award at the Global Search & Rescue Excellence Awards 2025 has been shortlisted as a finalist!
CTIF was shortlisted in two categories: Innovator of the Year and Project of the Year.
The achievements of all projects on the shortlist will be celebrated, and the winners announced, at the inaugural awards ceremony on Friday 16th May 2025, at the prestigious One Great George Street in London.
