Hurricane Otis left at least 48 dead and brought chaos in the aftermath for Mexico

The death toll is rising in Mexico after Hurricane Otis hit last week. At least 48 people have died,  the governor of the state of Guerrero has announced.

The number of missing people is also rising, and is allegedly now at 36 people.

On Sunday, workers and volunteers in the Mexican resort of Acapulco cleared streets filled with debris from the hurricane.

Winds peaked at 73.8 meters per second / 165 mph when Otis made landfall in Acapulco on Wednesday, however the hurricane later weakened.
