Invitation  to the 28th meeting of the commission History of Fire Services and CTIF, Museums
and Documentation and the subsequent 32nd Conference of the International Study Group for the History of Fire Service and Fire Protection at the CTIF on the subject of “Alerting and Communication in the Fire Service”.

Tuesday, 7

th October 2025 Arrival

18:45: Departure from the Hotel for the communal

Wednesday, 8th October 2025 8:15 a.m.: Departure from the hotel to the meeting
venue (Provincial Fire Brigade Association
Salzburg, Karolingerstraße 30, 5020 Salzburg)
9 a.m. to 2 p.m.: 28th CTIF Commission meeting,
followed by return journey to the hotel.
5 p.m.: Departure from the hotel to the opening
evening (in uniform) at the Provincial Fire Brigade

Thursday, 9th October 2025 8:15 am: Departure from the hotel to the conference

venue (hall of the Salzburger Nachrichten,
(Karolingerstraße 40, 5021 Salzburg)
9 a.m. to 5 p.m.: 32nd meeting of the study group,
followed by return journey to the hotel
18:30: Departure from the hotel for dinner together
at the Augustinerbräu (buffet) – only if booked
all day: Partner program (see below for details) - if
booked

Friday, 10th October 2025 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Excursion (uniform – service
uniform/day uniform – desired): Adnet in memory
of Adolf Schinnerl & Salzburg City; followed by

dinner together in the Bräustüberl of the Stiegl-
Brauwelt (à la carte at own expense).

Saturday, 11th October 2025 Departure

Registration:
For binding registration for the event and hotel booking, only use the attached form
and send it exclusively to history@ctif.org by May 15, 2025.

Accommodation:
Room contingents at a reduced price are reserved in the following hotels:

Room reservations will be forwarded to the hotel by the management board of the
study group after the registration deadline. Further processing will then take place
directly via the respective hotel; contact will be made by e-mail.
Transfers from and to Salzburg Airport or Salzburg Central Station are provided free
of charge by the Provincial Fire Brigade Association Salzburg. REGISTRATION IN
ADVANCE IS MANDATORY!

Partner Program:
„Obersalzberg – Salzberg: Idyll, crime and old mining “

8:00 am: Transportation from Hotel Salzburg-North to Hotel Salzburg-
South

8:30 am: Transportation from Hotel Salzburg-Süd to Berchtesgaden/D
9:30 a.m.: Obersalzberg Documentation Centre with guided tour (only in

German)

approx. 11:30 am: transportation to Bad Dürrnberg, followed by free time (possibility
for lunch in the SB Restaurant Salzwelten near the mine, visit to
the Bad Dürrnberg pilgrimage church, etc.)

13:30: Tour of the salt mine (duration 90 minutes; ATTENTION: Not
wheelchair accessible, approx. 1 km walk in the mountain! Warm
clothing and sturdy shoes required!)
approx. 15:45: Return transportation to the hotels

Further procedure:
The ordering of conference proceedings as well as the processing of the
administration fee will take place at a later date.
