The CTIF Firefighter Sports Commission

At the CTIF Delegates Assembly in Vienna on June 15, 2023, the establishment of a new professional group - the Firefighter Sports Commission - was approved.

With this step, firefighter sports will be separated from the already existing Competition Commission, which will continue to focus on traditional CTIF disciplines.

The Chairperson of the new commission is Zdenek Nytra.

The main objectives of the new commission are as follows:

•       Organizing firefighter sports competitions (anticipated once every two years);

•       Categories for men, women, and juniors;

•       Preparation and issuance of competition rules;

•       Specialized training for judges and trainers;

•       Training camps for adults and juniors between competitions;

•       Gradual promotion and organization of competitions in other types of firefighter sports (TFA, Combat Challenge, etc.)
