The CTIF Forest Fire Commission meets in Norway in November 2026

es

Dear all,

I hope this message finds you well.

I am pleased to confirm that the next meeting of the CTIF Forest Fire Commission will take place from 17 to 20 November 2026 in Tønsberg, Norway.

Participants are expected to arrive on 16 November, and departure is on 20 November.

Our meeting will take place shortly after what has been an exceptionally severe and devastating wildfire season across Europe. Our main objective is to ensure that we do not leave this meeting without capturing and sharing the lessons learned from the 2026 fire season.

For this reason, presentations from all participating countries will be an essential part of the programme, focusing on the major wildfire events of the year, operational experiences, challenges encountered and lessons learned. Associated Members will also have the opportunity to give presentations during the second or third day of the meeting.

Sponsorship of the Meeting

We would like to kindly ask whether your organization would be interested in sponsoring the CTIF Forest Fire Commission meeting in Tønsberg.

The sponsorship would be used specifically to support the organizational costs of the meeting, including:

·         Conference room and meeting facilities

·         Dinners and social events for participants

·         Coffee breaks, refreshments and drinks

·         Meeting materials, agendas and printing

·         Other essential organizational and hospitality expenses related to the meeting

This support would be particularly valuable in allowing us to organize the meeting at the appropriate professional level and to provide a welcoming environment for the international experts and representatives participating in the Commission.

Please note that sponsorship would not be intended to cover participants' travel or accommodation costs. Each participant will be responsible for their own travel, hotel and related personal expenses.

If you are interested in supporting the meeting, we would be very grateful to discuss the possibilities with you. We would be happy to provide further details regarding the estimated costs and the sponsorship arrangements, and to agree together on the most appropriate level and form of support.

We believe that supporting this meeting would be a meaningful contribution to the international wildfire community and to the exchange of operational knowledge and lessons learned following such a challenging fire season across Europe.
