Ostrava, Czech Republic: October 25-26, 2019
The CTIF has decided to keep the name of the seminar the same; "Fire, Rescue & New Challenges" . Last year´s Seminar in Brussels focused on New Technologies, such as the use of drones during interventions, Best Practices for Alternative Energy Vehicles, the new ISO Standard and the latest developments in the field of Firefighters´ Health.
The CTIF Seminar on Friday October 25th and Saturday October 26th of 2019 will also focus on four sub headlines:
- Communications within Fire & Rescue
- New Procedures & Best Practices
- Innovations & Technology in Fire & Rescue
- Lessons Learned from Recent or Past Events
The Seminar will be divided into four half days based on these categories of topics.
The 9th and 10th of November, 2018, CTIF Belgium organized a seminar on the theme Fire, Rescue & New Challenges.
During this seminar, various speakers from Belgium and abroad made presentations on New Technologies, such as the use of drones during interventions, Best Practices for Alternative Energy Vehicles, the new ISO Standard soon to be published as well as the latest developments in the field of Firefighters´ Health.
21 Member Nations were present at DA 2018, which is fairly impressive considering it was a long journey for many delegates. Many unfortunately did not have the possibility at all to be present in Las Vegas. A loose head count would state some 50 National Delegates and Associate Members were present, plus the members of the Executive Board.
New energies (electric, hybrid, gas) and new technologies (airbags, reinforcements, glazing, etc.) are important developments in the vehicle sector. Emergency intervention on electric and hybrid vehicles (IUV) is today, and even more so in the future, a real challenge for emergency services. In the context of interventions for traffic accidents or vehicle fires, fire brigades must adapt their techniques and equipment.
Technical Days offers an extensive three day program in French and English with demonstrations and lectures on Extrication for both Traditional and Alternative vehicle types. Technical Days is usually offered every second year by CTIF France.
CTIF´s President Tore Eriksson were among the key note speakers during this event.
This list will be updated over time!
