A consumer survey shows outstanding trust in Europe’s fire fighters.
CTIF represents five million fire fighters who protect a population of one billion people every day. This is why on 19 September 2008 CTIF President Walter Egger received the Reader’s Digest Pegasus Award from the hands of Werner Neunzig, Managing Director of Reader’s Digest Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Over the past months, his company interviewed 25,000 people in 15 European countries on the most trustworthy professions, revealing that 95% of the people surveyed had an outstanding trust in Europe’s fire fighters.”I can’t imagine any higher form of social responsibility than in the fire services“, said Werner Neunzig, whom Walter Egger thanked warmly in the name of the 50 countries that make up CTIF.
