CTIF set up a certification procedure for fire brigades museums. Learn more...
The CTIF History, Museums and Documentation Commission proposed a definition of "fire brigade museums" and set up a certification procedure approved by the CTIF Delegates Assembly 2007. The commission has appointed a team of experts under the lead of the Director of the German Fire Museum which is in charge of training all other experts and take care of an equal, i.e. standardised, application of the definition. The jury is made up of members of several national CTIF committees.
The following museums have been certified by the commission so far:
- "Feuerwehrbewegungszentrum des Feuerwehr-Verbandes von Böhmen, Mähren und Schlesien", in Pribislav, Czech Republic
- "Zentrales Polnisches Feuerwehrmuseum", in Myslowice, Poland
- "Aussenstelle des Zentralen Polnischen Feuerwehrmuseums", in Rakoniewice, Poland
- "Deutsches Feuerwehrmuseum" in Fulda, Germany
- "Steirisches Feuerwehrmuseum" Groß St. Florian, Austria
- "Oberösterreichisches Feuerwehrmuseum St. Florian, Austria
- "Fire Museum" Winnenden, Germany
- "Fire Museum" Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
