Camp opening

  
There are 626 competitors from 26 countries around the world registered for the 15th International Youth Fire Brigades Competitions, aged 12 to 16, and who are accommodated in the 2nd Primary School in Varaždin. CTIF president Walter Egger officially opened the Camp and emphasized in his speech the importance of such an event that can be seen as a meeting point for the young people from around the world. On behalf of the city, the competitors were also greated by Mrs Ružica Radelić, Head of the Administrative Department for Education, Health and Social Care. Young fire fighters used the accommodation, catering and other facilities of the 2nd Primary School during their whole stay in Varaždin, and their competitions took place in the Sloboda Stadium and on the Srednjškolac playgrounds on Thursday 21 July in the morning.
