CTIF Forest Fires Commission

  

The CTIF Forest Fires commission was founded in 1986 in order to:

  • get to know the organisation, structure, training and equipment of the operational forces in each country.
  • to solve problems related to forest fires (evacuation of threatened areas, buildings in forest areas...)

Who presides over the commission?
Mark JONES
from the United Kingdom is the CTIF Forest Fires Commission’s current president. He is Chief Fire Officer of Essex Fire and Rescue Service.

Who are the commission’s member countries? Commission members do participate in meetings on a voluntary basis and can get support from their CTIF National Committee to cover travel and accomodation expenses.
