Since the very first conference organised by CTIF in Wolfsburg in Germany in 1967, many cities hosted such conferences gathering hundreds of participants to discuss acute problems related to fire fighting and rescue services.
Symposiums especially focused on Youth Fire Brigades are also being organised by the CTIF Youth Leader Commission since 1993.
The CTIF History and Museums Commission organises international conferences every year in close partnership with the International History Working Group.
