CTIF General Secretary Christophe Mignot attended the 75th Anniversary of the Portuguese Fire Fighting League that took place on 28 and 29 May 2005 in Lisbon. This day also marked the Portuguese fire fighters’ National Day. A vehicle and equipment exhibition was held, and a two-hour long parade gathering nearly 2000 fire fighters and 170 vehicles took place along Lisbon’s main avenue. Two fire fighters’ orchestras played their best pieces of music during the parade. Many other Portuguese-speaking countries attended the event.
