The CTIF Executive Committee met in Oslo, Norway, on 10 and 11 March 2005.
President of CTIF Walter Egger thanked Trond Rane, president of the Norwegian CTIF National Committee, for welcoming the Executive Committee in his country. He also honoured him for his work as chairman of the CTIF Forest Fires Commission, as Mr Rane was going to cease his functions in a few months.
A first meeting took place between Executive Committee members and CTIF Commission chairmen to discuss the CTIF commissions’ objectives for the coming months. The working group CTIF 2010 set up at the end of the year 2004 then presented the conclusions of its work to the Executive Committee, paving the way for a new vision and strategy for CTIF and for new initiatives and services to be offered to its members.
