The French Telethon 2008 takes place on 5 and 6 December 2008 to collect funds to combat genetic diseases.
French fire fighters are very much involved in this event that takes place every year since 1987: in 2007, French fire fighters collected nearly 2 million Euros in two days!
This year, they organise a challenge with the French Muscular Dystrophy Association involving fire fighters from Switzerland, Italy, Luxemburg, Germany and Belgium who will cycle from Milan to Paris from 3 to 6 December 2008 to symbolize a new era: that of trials in humans and the first therapies.
CTIF as a co-operation network helped finding the contacts in the 5 countries involved.
