Discovering how fire fighters are organised in Slovenia

The Executive Committee was invited to visit the largest Slovenian training centre for civil protection and disaster relief some 15 kilometres away from Ljubljana. It was welcomed there by the Deputy Director of the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief (Slovenian Ministry of Defence) who presented the global system of civil protection in Slovenia (more on http://www.sos112.si/urszr/eng/index.htm). Saint Florian has its museum The fire fighters of Slovenske Konjice, a small town near Maribor close to the Austrian border, opened a brand new museum dedicated mainly to Saint Florian but also to the history of the Slovenian fire fighters.
