The CTIF medical commission was founded in 1902 in order to:
Who presides over the commission?Jean-Yves BASSETTI from France is the current president of the CTIF Commission Fire Brigades Health Service. He is vice-president of the French National Fire Fighters Federation and Chief Doctor of the French Aude department Fire and Rescue Service.
Who are the commission’s member countries?Spain, Rumania, Poland, Italy, United Kingdom, Luxembourg, Finland, Belgium, Austria, Germany, Portugal, France, Uruguay, Chile, Greece.
Participation in commission meetings is open to doctors involved -voluntarily or professionally- in fire fighting.Commission members do participate in meetings on a voluntary basis and can get support from their CTIF National Committee to cover travel and accomodation expenses.
